An experienced former mathematics teacher, Pam Fierro currently is an educational consultant in Texas. She seeks to instill best practices in K-12 teaching and works to align instruction with written, taught, and tested curriculum to help educators prepare students for college and career readiness.
Ms. Fierro earned her bachelor of interdisciplinary studies at the University of Texas at El Paso and completed a master’s degree in educational administration at New Mexico State University. From 1996 to 2005, she taught middle school math within the El Paso ISD, and in 2006, she accepted responsibilities with the district as MSP campus math staff developer. In this capacity, she provided teachers with pedagogical and content-focused development tools through co-teaching, classroom observation, and demonstration lessons. She also served as executive director of curriculum and instruction with the Canutillo Independent School District (ISD). Prior to joining Canutillo ISD, Pam Fierro also held roles as middle school math teacher leader, facilitator of mathematics, and assistant director of curriculum and instruction in El Paso ISD.
